I am an MSc health data science student at the University of St Andrews and a Commonwealth Shared Scholar. My journey into health data science began with a three-year diploma in health information management, followed by a bachelor of public health with distinction.
These experiences laid a strong foundation for my passion for leveraging data to address healthcare challenges.
As part of my current MSc research, I am exploring the use of deep learning for cancer detection in medical imaging. My aim is to contribute to advancing early detection and diagnostic accuracy and identify actionable insights in medical imaging.
Previously, while serving as a health information analyst at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, I optimised workflows for large datasets, improving reporting accuracy and decision-making in healthcare workforce management. I am expanding my expertise in statistical methods, Python, R, and artificial intelligence to explore innovative solutions in health data science.
Additionally, I am an applicant for the HDR UK Black Internship Programme, where I look forward to gaining practical experience in health data science and research, further demonstrating my commitment to advancing the field I am excited to connect with a mentor who can help me integrate cutting-edge technologies into impactful healthcare research and advance my career in health data science.
