Dr Ting Lian
Research Associate in Geospatial Data Analysis at Imperial College London
Ting is a Research Associate in the School of Public Health at Imperial College London. Her work within the HDR UK Social and Environmental Determinants of Health Driver Programme focuses on geospatial data analysis, with a particular emphasis on geocoding and address matching using Unique Property Reference Numbers (UPRNs). She contributes to the development of high-resolution geospatial data infrastructure to enable fine-grained, privacy-preserving public health research across the UK.
Her broader research interests encompass geospatial analytics, human mobility, and urban transport systems, with a particular focus on understanding movement patterns, accessibility, and transport-related benefits and risks. She combines GIS, machine learning, computer vision, and statistical modelling to generate detailed spatial evidence, and is increasingly interested in applying these methods to questions connecting mobility, environmental conditions, and health.
