Working with stakeholders of London Universities, NHS and Industry, Maryam leads the coordination and delivery of the London Site activities aligned with HDR UK national priorities in science, people and Infrastructure. She is building scientific communities across London to develop collaborations that deliver on HDR UK’s ambitious mission for improving people’s life.

Maryam has extensive experiences in developing strategic partnerships from both Industry and Academic setting. She joined UCL in 2013 and led the establishment of the Business and Innovation Group which is responsible for creating and managing major translational research partnerships with Biotech and Pharma.

Prior to UCL, Maryam worked internationally at variety of R&D, Business Development and Strategy roles at Philips to develop innovative digital health solutions for patient centric care delivery, monitoring and clinical decision support for devices and diagnostics.

Maryam has strong multidisciplinary science background, received her PhD in biophysics from VU- Amsterdam at 2006, worked as guest scientist in Harvard and UPenn.
