Dr John Nolan has been a consultant in Norwich for 24 years and enjoy a busy clinical practice of general orthopaedics and trauma surgery. The greater part of this practice consists of major joint replacement surgery and I have carried out over 6,000 hip and knee replacement operations.
He is particularly stimulated by complex revision problems at both the hip and knee, and have a substantial experience of reconstructive surgery both with and without bone grafting techniques.

He has been Clinical Director, examined for the Intercollegiate Speciality Board in Orthopaedics for the Royal Colleges of Surgeons and reviewed for a number of Journals including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Hip International. He carryies out Invited Reviews for the Royal College of Surgeons and Fitness to Practice Assessments on behalf of the General Medical Council. He chaired The Consultant Staff Committee at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital before joining The Council of Governors.
