Dr Jamil Shah Foridi began working at HDR UK as a Product Owner in the Technology Team in May 2025. He is a medically trained digital health leader with a background in Emergency Medicine. Jamil was one of the NHS’ first Academic Clinical Fellows in Digital Health at the Royal Wolverhampton Trust, where he led transformative projects such as leading on the implementation of digital observations in A&E (VitalPACS), developing the Trust’s AI project charter, and establishing a digital education curriculum for healthcare staff.

Jamil graduated with a Distinction from the NHS Digital Leadership Programme and then transiently moved into the private sector as a specialist doctor in Testosterone Replacement Therapy. He has since requested for deferral of entry into a Public Health Registrar post. As a serial entrepreneur, Jamil has founded two startups over the past decade. His first venture, 9figures (2016-2020), was an e-commerce and blockchain platform that gained global traction and joined the Coinbase Commerce pilot. His second, NovaBleep (2020 onwards), focused on generative AI in digital health, securing over £200,000 in national and international grant funding and running international pilot trials that cut emergency response times by two-thirds.

Jamil was also a Fellow of IncludedVC – an international venture capital programme – and currently serves as a VC-in-Residence with a US-based fund, supporting early-stage digital health startups.

Beyond clinical and commercial work, Jamil has served for five years on the National Governing Body and Medical Subcommittee of England Boxing. In this governance role, he has provided medical oversight and shaped national policy, gaining deep experience working with senior stakeholders and navigating complex regulatory environments.

Jamil is also an Associate Non-Executive Director (Digital) at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
