James is a consultant nephrologist at Morriston Hospital Swansea. Having grated from Cardiff University in 1999 James went on to obtain an MD in 2006. James was appointed honorary senior clinical lecturer at Swansea University in 2015. James heads up the Health Informatics section of the WKRU (Welsh Kidney Research Unit). His current work is using linkage of routinely collected clinical data to examine outcomes in AKI and CKD.
