Dr Fiona Taggart is Project Manager for Northern Ireland Region. Her 10 year career in cancer research has spanned a PhD in protein mutation and cancer development at Edinburgh University. An initial post- doctorate at Edinburgh University focused on peptide and antibody phage display. A further multi centre collaborative post doctorate followed, involving the University of Edinburgh and University of Gdansk (Poland), focused in generating stable cell lines from glioblastoma tumours.
In her current role, she is project manager for NI region and supports the Big Data for Complex Disease driver programme. She is passionate about inequalities across research and health care, patient care and patient and public involvement in research.
