Dr Ewan Harrison’s research interest focuses on the biology of the pathogenic bacterium Staphylococcus aureus. In particular, Ewan aims to understand why some people are persistently nasally colonised by S. aureus by combining large cohort sampling with available electronic health records with genome-wide association studies, microbiome analysis, and bacterial genomics.
