Dr Eilis Hannon
Dr Eilis Hannon is an Associate Professor of Bioinformatics at the University of Exeter Medical School and an EPSRC Research Software Engineering Fellow. Alongside her research in statistical genomics, she has a strong interest in data science education, reproducible research, and computational skills development. She established Exeter's Coding for Reproducible Research programme and has contributed to the development of data science training for researchers and postgraduate students. Her current roles include Data Science Lead for the GW4 BioMed Doctoral Training Partnership, member of AI@Exeter Advisory Group and co-lead of the MSc module Statistics for Health Data Science. Her work focuses on helping researchers develop practical, sustainable approaches to working with data and computational methods.
