More recent focus has been on mental health, suicide and self-harm, the health of migrants, factors affecting screening uptake, the effects of mixed marriages, the mortality risk of caring or volunteering, patterns of alcohol consumption at older ages, admissions to and care in care homes, the effect of long working-hours, social determinants in the age of retirement and financial wellbeing at older ages.
