Colleen is a data wrangler working with the Medicines in Acute and Chronic Care Driver Programme at the University of Liverpool. Her current research focuses on addressing alert fatigue in relation to clinical decision-making systems, with a particular emphasis on improving prescriber adherence to computerised clinical alerts.

Colleen’s previous work includes developing machine learning models to support clinical decisions on empirical antibiotic selection, which she conducted during her PhD at Queen’s University Belfast. She has a strong background in data analysis, clinical modelling, and evidence synthesis, with a particular interest in pharmacoepidemiology and the application of machine learning techniques to public health data. Her research aims to improve patient outcomes through data-driven insights and to aid clinical decision making.
