Brandon recently finished his PhD in bioinformatics at the University of Southampton following a master’s in biochemistry at the University of Birmingham. He will be carrying out an internship project at Teeside University developing a Python web application for the processing of raw single cell RNA-seq datasets.
Having worked with these datasets during his PhD Brandon has experienced the steep learning curves of using Scanpy via Python or Seurat in R to process, cluster and visualise these datasets.
