Becky’s love of problem-solving and data manipulation led her to pursue a BSc in industrial mathematics, where she developed a strong interest in statistics and data analytics. This interest motivated her to advance my knowledge by earning a master’s degree in data science.
Her motivation for applying to the internship stems from a genuine commitment to improving health outcomes and a desire to better understand how data science can be applied in the healthcare sector. Becky also hopes to expand her knowledge of data-driven research.
Through this internship with HDR, Becky aims to gain hands-on experience in using data to generate insights that support better decision-making in healthcare. She believes it will also prepare her for a full-time role by improving her technical and soft skills, while helping her explore her strengths and career path within the data science field.
