Ash is currently pursuing an MSc in health data science at University College London, following a first class degree in biological sciences from Kingston University. Her undergraduate research focused on neglected tropical diseases and was recognised with the departmental project award. With a foundation in genetics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics, she is particularly interested in how data can be used to tackle structural inequalities and improve public health outcomes.
Through this internship, Ash aims to strengthen her analytical and coding skills in R and Python, and apply them in a practical, policy-focused setting. She is especially looking forward to contributing to the Nuffield Trust’s research and gaining insight into how evidence can form the basis for more equitable and effective healthcare systems.
