Antonia holds a BSc (Hons) in psychology and is also a qualified mental health nurse. She has recently transitioned into the field of data science and will soon complete her MSc in data science at the University of Greenwich.
Her interest lies in the intersection of mental health and data science, particularly how data can be used to support early intervention and more personalised care within psychiatric services. Antonia says she is passionate about developing predictive models that can enhance treatment outcomes and improve patient experiences, while also being mindful of the ethical considerations surrounding the use of AI in healthcare.
She will be working as a data science intern at Imperial College Healthcare Partners, where she has developed a keen interest in learning more about innovation within health systems using real-world data.
Antonia is interested in the potential of data science to bring meaningful change to mental health services and wider healthcare delivery.
She particularly enjoys working with Python and libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn and spaCy for natural language processing tasks. Antonia is also exploring brain-computer interfaces and their integration with machine learning, as she believes these technologies could pave the way for more responsive and adaptive mental health tools in the future. She has a strong motivation to improve health outcomes through ethical, evidence-based and innovative approaches to data.
