Amy joined Health Data Research UK as a PPIE Manager in April 2024 working across several areas, including the BHF Data Science Centre, Big Data for Complex Disease Programme and PEDRI (Public Engagement in Data Research Initiative). Supporting the meaningful involvement and engagement of the public and patients in data research is central to Amy’s role.
Prior to joining HDR UK, Amy worked within the Involvement Team at Diabetes UK, supporting meaningful involvement of people affected by and at risk of diabetes throughout the work of the charity. As part of this, Amy worked closely with NHS England, facilitating user insight research to help shape and review national NHSE diabetes programmes.
Amy also has experience working across mental health services, providing 1-1 and group support focused on offering a holistic and person-centered approach informed by her MSc in Health Psychology from King’s College London.
