Agklinta is a final year PhD student at Imperial College London and has recently joined Health Data Research UK as a Research and Data Science Manager to support the initiatives of the HDR Global programme; in improving health outcomes in low-income setting countries by making health data widely accessible to underprivileged areas.
Agklinta’s doctorate project was focused on improving clinical outcomes of children with severe malnutrition in Sub-Saharan Africa and prior to her PhD, was involved in the pharmaceutical sector as a method development scientist in the development and optimisation of vaccine testing platforms. Agklinta holds a master’s degree (MRes) in Translational Medicine and Therapeutics from Newcastle University and completed her bachelor’s degree (BSc Hons) in Biopharmaceutical Science from the University of Sunderland.
