A pharmacist with a solid foundation in biochemistry, Abdul recently completed a master’s in data science at the University of Hertfordshire, due to the transformative potential of machine learning techniques, big data, and analytics in data-driven decisions to improve healthcare. This degree equipped him with a strong foundation in data analytics and its applications in healthcare as well as advanced and powerful tools to analyse and interpret complex healthcare data to identify patterns, predict outcomes, and propose evidence-driven solutions to improve health outcomes. He is eager to contribute to harnessing health data to drive innovations in healthcare research.

Abdul’s passion lies at the intersection of pharmaceutical health outcomes and policy and data analytics, where he aims to develop evidence-based solutions to improve healthcare accessibility and outcomes for underserved populations. He is excited to apply my skills in a real-world setting.

Through this internship with HDR, Abdul hopes to gain practical experience applying data science to real-world health challenges that can generate insights to improve health outcomes while contributing to projects that address health inequities. He’s enthusiastic about collaborating with the talented team and learning from industry leaders in health data research.
