The NIHR Innovation Observatory (IO) at Newcastle University is the UK’s national horizon scanning centre. Our Data Science and AI team develops the technical infrastructure and tools that underpin the IO’s work. We specialise in developing advanced data pipelines, large-scale data ingestion, and web-based applications that support our staff and stakeholders.
Oluwasegun will support the development of automation tools to assist with routine sifting tasks carried out by our horizon scanning analysts. This forms part of our broader OpenScan programme, which is building national infrastructure to streamline the identification and tracking of emerging health innovations, and enable scalable, co-designed applications across the life sciences sector.
