Macmillan Cancer Support has spent more than 100 years helping people living with cancer in the UK. We are a registered charity providing services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience. We also provide healthcare professionals with resources, tools and training to support people living with cancer, carry out research into cancer care, and campaign and build partnerships across the UK.

We know that cancer can disrupt your whole life. And it can be made worse simply because of who you are and where you live. But we’re here to change that.

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, and every one of them needs the best support to meet their unique needs. That’s why we’ll do whatever it takes to help everyone living with cancer across the UK get the support they need right now and transform cancer care for everyone who will be diagnosed in the future.

Research and insight in our new strategy

As part of our new organisational strategy we will invest in new research, ideas and technology to improve cancer services and make sure they are reaching everyone who needs support. We will work together with people and communities who have the worst cancer experiences and outcomes to find solutions that suit them and their lives.

We will help identify where there are gaps in understanding about the experiences of people with cancer and the impact this is having on their lives, and work with others to help to solve this. We’ll keep putting people with cancer at the heart of all we do, to make sure every person gets the best support today as well as transforming cancer care for the future.
