Following today’s announcement from Population Research UK (PRUK) that it has commissioned Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) to develop a new Population Research Gateway, we’re delighted to be leading this important programme in partnership with Swansea University’s Secure eResearch Platform (SeRP), the University of Nottingham and the Tissue Directory and Coordination Centre (TDCC).

The £1.625 million investment will support the development of a unified discovery platform that makes UK LPS easier to find, understand and access.
Building on the infrastructure behind the Health Data Research Gateway infrastructure and complementing existing discovery catalogues, the new service will help researchers find relevant datasets, compare studies, explore metadata, identify linked resources and navigate data access more efficiently.

Over the coming months, the project team will work closely with the UK LPS community to develop the Population Research Gateway, ensuring it meets the needs of researchers, study teams and data custodians. Watch this space!
