If you are a patient, member of the public or work in a charity and have an interest in how health data is used for research and innovation, please join us at our Digital Innovation Hub Programme event on 22 January 2019 in London.
At Health Data Research UK our mission is to connect health data to make discoveries that improve people’s lives. We’re doing this by running a UK-wide programme that will create a way to safely and responsibly use health data at scale for research and innovation.
This four-year programme, which started in September 2018, will create ‘Digital Innovation Hubs’ across the UK. It is funded by the government via the UK Research and Innovation’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.
To ensure this work delivers real benefits for people living in the UK we want to hear from patients and the public to help us design and define the requirements for this programme. In particular, we’d like your views on how to embed patient and public engagement and involvement in the Digital Innovation Hub Programme and your thoughts on how to build confidence in how health data is used for research.
This is one of a series of engagement events as part of our ‘design and dialogue’ phase.
The event will be chaired by an independent facilitator and is organised in partnership with the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC).
A buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.
If you are interested in attending, please register via our Eventbrite page here by Monday 14 January.
