Event objectives
We are now over halfway through our first quinquennium (5-year funding period), and preparations for our quinquennial review by our core funders are well underway. Through a series of collaborative meetings, we are coming together as a national research institute, crossing disciplines and organisations to co-develop an innovative vision for the second quinquennium of HDR UK (2023-2028).
As part of this process, we are developing the vision and delivery approach for a set of scientific demonstrator programmes which will help shape the research data infrastructure and services including Public, Patient and Practitioner Involvement and Engagement, the Alliance, the Innovation Gateway, training programmes and the health data research hubs.
We invite Alliance members and Hubs to contribute to the shaping of both the proposed demonstrator programmes and the research data infrastructure and services that are intended to demonstrate trustworthiness and provide benefit to: providers of data and research services; users of health data across academia, NHS, life sciences industry and research charities; and UK citizens; and to help define the future vision for the Alliance.
Who should attend?
This workshop is open to the Hubs, Alliance members, regulators and funders as well as current and future partners and members of the HDR UK community. We would welcome and encourage all to attend to contribute at this key stage, as this is integral to our current and future work to unite the UK’s health data to enable discoveries that improve people’s lives.
