The latest initiative from HDR UK Futures is a three-day expert-led workshop allowing you to discover and use the latest Health Information Engineering (HIE) tools. A pre-course webinar will launch the workshop on Monday 22nd November and continue into three sessions taking place on 6, 7 and 15 December.
If you are interested in gaining hands-on training in health information engineering then our expert-led workshop is for you!
This three-part training event will be run by Dr Iliada Eleftheriou, a lecturer in Healthcare Sciences from the University of Manchester and Dr Alan Davies, a senior lecturer in Health Data Sciences, also from the University of Manchester. Both Dr Eleftheriou and Dr Davies are key contributors to HDR UK Futures – our rapidly expanding virtual learning environment. They possess a wealth of knowledge and experience and are passionate about what HIE can achieve in improving health and care.
HIE is a rapidly evolving area at the forefront of advances in UK healthcare so this workshop is an opportunity to get up to speed as many more databases and data sources are becoming available.
Attendees of the workshop will gain invaluable experience managing data and get to grips with relevant software engineering techniques. This workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to get involved with projects using data to improve care, and provides a platform for those who wish to develop a career in software engineering.
The event is being run in partnership with AphA. AphA members benefit from a special offer and will be able to book this course free of charge. If you are an AphA member or are interested in joining, please get in touch.
Registration closes Wednesday 17th November.
