Chaired by Professor Sinead Brophy, this session will showcase innovative work in preconception and maternal health, including the use of routine health data and large-scale datasets to address health inequalities and reduce disparities in maternity outcomes.

The webinar will also highlight opportunities for collaboration across research, clinical, and policy communities.

  • Dr Danielle Schoenaker & Professor Jenny Hall: – Collaboration through the UK Preconception Partnership: using routine health data to improve preconception health and reduce maternity disparities
  • Michael Seaborne:  The MIREDA dataset (Maternal and Infant Research Electronic Data Analysis): five birth cohorts converted to the OMOP common data model

The webinar will conclude with a discussion on important questions in preconception research.
