We will concentrate on the potential of sounds in the context of respiratory health with examples of work in the context of COVID-19 (https://covid-19-sounds.org/) as well as respiratory tract infection progression (https://www.southampton.ac.uk/primarycare/reload.page). Further ongoing work in the context of cardiovascular health will also be discussed. The talk will also focus on research on in-ear microphones (in earables) for physiological monitoring and the potential and future avenues of these new wearable forms for non-invasive health monitoring.

This talk is part of the HDR UK Cambridge Seminar Series series.
