The UK Health Data Research Alliance brings together organisations across the health data research community. Members share expertise, identify common challenges, develop practical responses and support wider use of effective approaches for public benefit.

The Alliance in Practice webinar series spotlights innovative work from across the UK Health Data Research Alliance. Join us to discover how members are using health data, technology and collaboration to tackle shared challenges and deliver real-world impact.

For our first instalment of the series, we are delighted to welcome Erik Mayer, iCARE Director, Transformation CCIO, Imperial College London, who will be discussing Translating Health Data Innovation into Clinical Practice.

Join colleagues from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to discover how secure, linked health data is supporting innovation in research and frontline care. They’ll discuss what the Imperial Secure Data Environment (SDE) has made possible, including extracting smoking status from clinical records and embedding trial randomisation in clinical workflows. They’ll also share how these projects are moving into everyday clinical use, and the data, people and processes behind that progress.
