BREATHE is enabling the use of Electronic Health Records in respiratory research
19 April 2021
Demonstrating HDR UKs vision to unite the UK’s health data to enable discoveries that improve people’s lives, BREATHE – The Health Data Research Hub for Respiratory Health has deposited a set of respiratory phenotypes within the Phenotype Library. BREATHE have developed a standard set of phenotypes, across the key respiratory conditions:
- Asthma
- Bronchiectasis
- COPD
- Cystic Fibrosis
BREATHE aims to harmonise the respiratory health data landscape by supporting researchers to use the standard set phenotypes they have developed, thus enabling the use of EHR data in respiratory research, to deliver benefits to patients.
