Corri Black is Professor of Public Health, Director of the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science at the University of Aberdeen and a consultant in Public Health for NHS Grampian. She is also the clinical lead for a Scottish Government accredited and ISO27001 certified data safe haven. Corri trained in medicine at the University of Glasgow and worked in hospital medicine before undertaking a research fellowship at the Boston Collaborative Drug Surveillance Programme, USA studying Clinical and Pharmacoepidemiology. Her research focuses on understanding complexity in health and care in long term conditions and across the life course using real world health data. Aberdeen’s Centre for Health Data Science combines expertise in health informatics, bioimaging and computing science to harness administrative health and care records; developing methods to support modern health surveillance and innovation in health care. It is also host to the Scottish Industrial Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research in Digital Diagnostics (iCAIRD).
